A letter

To the Dreamers

Dante's great poem ends in paradise. In the last canto of his Paradiso, the poet finally sees the love that moves the sun and the other stars. So when the family behind Dante in Greenwich Village went looking for a name for their little espresso bar in Nolita, the choice was an easy one.

We opened our doors on Valentine's Day of 2025 with a sign painted by hand and a heart drawn in a single stroke. Behind the green onyx bar we trade Negronis for espresso, made with the same devotion.

We are for the coffee lovers who notice the details. That means cream sinking slowly into an iced americano, white chocolate shaved over a shakerato, and banana bread cut thick. Our seats are few, but Elizabeth Street Garden waits just across the road.

Whoever you are, take your cup and go dream a little.

With love, Paradiso
